Corbin Bernsen

President & Partner

Corbin Bernsen comes from an entertainment family. His mother Jeanne Cooper was on the Daytime Drama The Young and Restless for 35 years. His father was an agent for writers and directors.  A graduate of UCLA where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theater and a Master’s degree in Playwriting, Bernsen jumps between all mediums both in front of, and behind the camera, excited to explore the endless possibilities to tell a story. He recently played the role of Vulcan on Starz’s groundbreaking series American Gods.

Before that he starred as Henry Spencer for eight seasons on USA Network’s hit original series Psych.  He began his career the hit NBC TV series, LA LAW. Twice, he was nominated for both an Emmy® Award and a Golden Globe Award® for his performance as Arnie Becker on the show that virtually created the ensemble drama as we know today. Along the way he hosted Saturday Night Live and guest starred on Seinfeldand Star Trekto name a few notable television appearances. In the feature film arena, he starred in the comedy Disorganized Crime, and had further notable roles in Wolfgang Peterson’s Shattered, The Great White HypeTalesFrom the Hood, and as the Cleveland Indians’ third baseman-turned- owner Roger Dorn in the extremely popular MajorLeagueseries of films.

Other film credits include Lay TheFavoritewith Bruce Willis, and The Big Yearwith Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson. He also appeared with Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer in Shane Black’s Kiss Kiss BangBang. Recently, Bernsen has moved to the other side of the camera, directing the films Carpool GuyDead Air andRust, which was distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment. With Rust, Bernsen formed Home Theater Films.25 Hill, which he also wrote and directed about the All-American Soap Box Derby was the first title from his newly formed company. This was followed by 3-Day Test(2012) and Beyond the Heavens(2013). Later projects include Christian Mingle(2015) and In-Lawfully Yours(2016).  His current projects include the dramatic feature Life with Dog, the family comedy Mary for Mayor and the television series Blind Eye. Bernsen lives in Los Angeles with his wife of twenty-nine years, actress Amanda Pays, and their four sons.

Chris Aronoff

CEO & Partner

Chris Aronoff is an award winning producer of over 12 feature films and founder of five successful companies including, Mechnology, Antibody Films, Home Theater Films, and White Box Post. After receiving a degree in film production, and producing hundreds of hours of medical video content, Chris moved to Los Angeles to work at Paramount Studios as a VFX Supervisor on the TV series “Charmed”. From there, Chris started his own production company, producing twelve feature films. Chris specializes in innovative producing and non-traditional forms of distribution. Multi-talented, he is a master problem-solver working within the confines of limited budgets.

In addition to overseeing all aspects of development, production, post-production as a producer, Chris is the co-founder of Home Theater Films along with his business partner Corbin Bernsen.  One of their first projects, “Rust”, inspired a small town to come together to help create a feature film which was then successfully released by Sony Pictures worldwide.  Chris produced four more family-oriented feature films which all released internationally in one year: “25 Hill” (helped save the American tradition of soap-box racing), “Beyond the Heavens” (a boy struggles for answers between science and faith), “Family Weekend” (starring Kristin Chenoweth and Matthew Modine), and a holiday film, “3 Day Christmas”.

Chris founded the post-production studio “White Box” to help filmmakers with low budgets finish their films professionally and at a high level.  Chris recently produced “Christian Mingle”, a romantic comedy, which will be released in theaters October 2014 and a documentary for TV, “I Came Back” about a young military veteran with PTSD came back a stronger, more inspired person making a difference for others.  Currently, besides being the owner and COO of Home Theater Films, Chris in his spare time, is a hexacopter pilot, an avid soccer player and cyclist, as well enjoys hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains with his lovely wife Annmarie.

James Greilick

Producer & Development

James Greilick is an independent film maker who has co-produced over 7 feature films in the past 9 years, including Rust, 25 Hill, Christian Mingle, In-Lawfully Yours and the award winning short film MIDLAND.  After graduating from Columbia College Chicago, with a BFA in Film Production, James moved to Los Angeles where he began his career with Home Theater Films helmed by Corbin Bernsen.  Throughout his experience in overseeing the film production process, James has excelled in managing multiple projects to ensure quality and targeted deadlines. James is currently in pre-production on his latest film and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Jordan Smith

Producer & Marketing

Jordan Smith attended USC, concentrating in Philosophy and Cinematic Arts. Growing up in Silicon Valley, he was raised with a full and thorough understanding of the internet and its potential. However, he was always drawn to movies. While at USC, he worked at Pink Thunder, a production company under Angela Robinson (the L Word & Herbie Full Loaded.) It was through these experiences that he became involved in film as well as learned the importance of putting together a strain team to get jobs done. Jordan really began to understand the potential of combining entertainment with social networking when at Sony Pictures Television, working directly for the VP of Digital Marketing. After joining Home Theater Films, Jordan spent the first couple of films learning and honing his craft.  It was with 3 Day Test that he had his first opportunity to truly join the production team extending his involvement all the way until the project was delivered.  Jordan has gone on to produce the short Midland followed by the upcoming Life with Dog and Mary for Mayor.
