Synopsis

Two life-long friends energized to be a part of their generation’s change went to The Woodstock Music and Arts Festival in ’69 as teenagers, turned on, tuned in, dropped out, and never left, literally. Now pushing 70, still living in Woodstock with families leaving home, friends dying and livelihood’s diminishing, they face the consequences of the lives they’ve led, the empty dreams they chased, and the harsh realities of just getting old and becoming irrelevant.

But behind their backs the world is changing again, and suddenly much of what they believed in and fought for back in the day begins to thrive again as a new generation carves out its own identity, correcting the wrongs of today and mistakes of yesterday borrowing heavily on the promises of “Woodstock.” Often funny, sometimes bittersweet, always punching ghosts, Woodstockers takes a fresh look at what became of tie dye, long hair, fat joints, peace signs, and the incredible music of a generation just ahead of its time.
